Thousands of believers worshiped the Icon of the Mother of God from the Adam Monastery in the cities of Galati and Brăilatranslated

Thousands of believers from the municipalities of Galati and Brăila worshiped this week the miracle-working Icon of the Mother of God from the Adam Monastery, carried on pilgrimage as part of the pilgrimage organized during the Fast of the Dormition of the Mother of God.

On the eve of the Feast of the Transfiguration, the icon was carried in procession through the streets of Galati, from the "Mavromol" Church to the "Precista" Church on the upper Danube embankment.

At the "Precista" Church, the Most Reverend Father Cassian, Archbishop of Lower Danube, celebrated Vespers with Litia and said prayers of thanksgiving for the blessings bestowed by God on the faithful.

The icon stayed overnight in the place of worship, where the Vigil service and prayers for the spiritual benefit of the pilgrims were held.
