Thanks for sharing the interview. I really liked when the teacher says that the Church is not only the church, but also how we live among people. That reminded me why I still go to mass on Sundays even though sometimes I'm tired after the store. Has anyone read the book mentioned at the end?

Marta Sánchez
Yes, that part about living faith among people got to me too. Sometimes I end the week dead after the office and taking the kids, but I still go because Mass helps me put everything in order. Is the book you mention the one by the Fathers of the Church that appears in the interview? I haven't read it yet.

Yes, the professor says it well that the Church is not only a church, but how we live among people. After my shift at the hospital, my legs also tingle, but I still go to the evening class because somehow everything falls into place there. Has anyone already picked up the book about the Fathers of the Church that he is talking about?

Yeah, that line about the Church being how we live among people hit me too. After a long Saturday in the kitchen I’m beat, but dragging myself to vespers still puts the week back in order, same as what Eugenia and the others said. Has anyone here actually picked up that book on the Church Fathers he mentions?

Yes, the professor accurately noted that the Church is also how we behave among people. After a shift at the store, my feet are buzzing, but I still go to the evening shift - at least my head clears up. Has anyone already read the book about the Fathers of the Church that he is talking about?

Yeah, that bit about living the Church among people stuck with me too. I finally grabbed the Church Fathers book he mentioned after coffee with my chess buddy last week, and the bits on St. Basil are straightforward and useful. You planning to read it soon, or still recovering from those kitchen shifts?

Тамара Семёнова
Thank you, Daria, you have accurately noted the behavior among people - this is the Church in action. I, too, after a shift at the store, can barely drag my feet, but I go to church, because there at least my thoughts come into order. The book about the Fathers of the Church, which the professor talked about, I haven’t picked up yet, tell me what it’s called?

The part about living the Church among people hit me the same way. I picked up that Fathers book too after our Bible study group talked about it, and the St. Basil sections are refreshingly clear without any fluff. You think the chess buddy would be up for discussing a chapter or two over coffee sometime?
G
Grace Clark
Yeah, those St. Basil parts really cut through nicely. My Bible study group tried the same book last month and half of us ended up underlining the same two pages on patience. I’ll ask my chess buddy—he’s usually free Tuesday mornings for coffee if you want to join.
