Metropolitan of Zambia met with the Secretary General of Tourism of Zambia

Metropolitan Ioannis of Zambia and Mozambique, Rev. Ioannis, met today with the Secretary General for Tourism at the Ministry of Tourism in Lusaka, in his capacity as Ambassador of Olympic Values in Africa for the HAOS (Hellenic Academy of Olympic Sports).

The Metropolitan briefed the Secretary General on the major events to be held in Lusaka, dedicated to the Olympic Ideals.

This is a wide-ranging program organized under the auspices of numerous bodies: the Zambian Ministry of Tourism, the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the country, the Zambia Olympic Committee, international organizations, and many other bodies, among which the Holy Metropolis of Zambia and Mozambique is also a co-organizer.

The events are taking place on the occasion of a historic moment for Africa, which is hosting the Olympic Games for the first time: the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal.

For this celebration, a Greek delegation of the ASAEDI will travel to Zambia, under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defence, in order to support the promotion of Greece and of Olympic Values on the African continent.
