On the feast day of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga, on July 11, 2026, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine presided over the Divine Liturgy at the church dedicated to Saint Princess Olga, located on the second floor of the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Volodymyr in Kyiv.

Good that they mentioned Father John and awarded him for his 75th birthday. He has served so many years in this church, he deserves it. And the prayer for the soldiers and for the fallen - this is the most important thing now.

Father Ioan certainly deserves that award after all his years at St. Olga’s. The special prayer for the soldiers and the fallen hit home too — we keep lighting candles for them at every service here.

It's good that they mentioned Father Ioan and honored him with an order on his 75th birthday - so many years in this church are truly deserved. Prayers for soldiers and the fallen are always needed, and in our parish we also remember them every Sunday.

Father Ioan getting that Order of the Archangel Michael on his 75th sounds well earned after all those years at St. Olga’s. The prayers for the soldiers and the fallen are what stay with me most too. We remember them every Sunday at our parish as well.

Father Ioan really served in this church for many years, the reward is fitting. And prayer for the soldiers and the dead is always to the point; here in Munich we also remember them every Sunday.
