El metropolitano Daniel de Accra se reunió con el Sr. Wael Fathy, embajador de la República Árabe de Egipto en la República de Ghana, el viernes 17 de julio de 2026, en la Embajada de Egipto en Accra.

Durante el cordial encuentro, transmitió al Embajador los saludos y los mejores deseos del Papa y Patriarca Teodoro II de Alejandría y de toda África. También expresó la profunda gratitud del Patriarcado de Alejandría a Su Excelencia el Presidente Abdel Fattah El-Sisi de la República Árabe de Egipto por su continuo apoyo y protección del Trono Apostólico de Alejandría y su misión histórica en todo el continente africano.

Se puso especial énfasis en los fuertes lazos históricos de amistad y cooperación entre Egipto y Grecia, así como en el importante papel que desempeñan ambos países en la promoción del diálogo interreligioso, la cultura y la coexistencia pacífica de los pueblos.
