Nice to see the focus on Peter and Fevronia this year. Our parish did a simple talk after the service about their story and what real faithfulness looks like in daily life, nothing fancy but it stuck with a few young couples. Did any of the Moscow churches hand out those little icons of the saints?

Our parish here in Toronto read the life of Peter and Fevronia at the end of Liturgy too. The part about them choosing monastic life together at the end always gets me — my late husband and I used to joke that was the ultimate retirement plan. Our parish in Sydney read their life too, and yeah, that bit about them taking monastic vows together always hits different. My wife and I have joked about it being the ultimate retirement plan as well. У нас теж іконки роздавали після літургії, жінки справді брали охоче. А щодо монастиря на старість — моя теж каже, що краще вдвох у храм ходити, як твої батьки. У Харкові після служби частували чаєм з домашнім печивом і медом з місцевої пасіки, люди довго сиділи, розмовляли. А у вас що подавали?
