Astăzi, Biserica își amintește de Sfântii Fără Însărcinare Cosma și Damiana, de Martirii femei Cyriacă și Juliana, precum și de sf. David din Evia.

Medicii Cosma și Damiana, care provin din Asia, au pierdut tatăl lor la vârsta tinerilor. Mama lor, Teodota, i-a oferit atât o instruire excelentă, cât și o creștină educație.

Printr-o cultivare a virtuților cristine, ei s-au dedicat cu zel studiului și practicării medicinii. Medicația lor era oferită gratuit, tratând bolnavii cu dragoste, compasiune și respect, niciodată nu acceptând plata pentru serviciile lor. Din acest motiv, hîmnofoania bisericească îi onorează ca fiind Sfântii Fără Însărcinare ("Anargyroi"), reflectând recunoașterea durabilă a credincioșilor.

Sfintii au cucerit un traseu imperțibil prin punerea speranței lor complet în Dumnezeu. Convingeți ferm că "gratuit ai primit; gratuit da", ei își acordau vindecarea tuturor fără a căuta bogății sau posesiuni terestre. Cu bucurie, continuă să ofere binecuvântări atât spirituale cât și fizice omenirii.
