The heroes' mausoleum in the city of Râșcani, Republic of Moldova, needs support for the continuation of the works. The announcement was made on Tuesday by representatives of the "Monumentum" Association in a post on the Facebook page.
For the next stage of the construction, almost 30,000 lei are needed for the purchase of the necessary materials for formwork and concrete pouring and for the rental of the necessary equipment.
"United around this cause, we will succeed in erecting the first monument of this kind in the Republic of Moldova, a monument to which thousands of hearts will be connected," the organization's representatives said.
The "Monumentum" association, in partnership with the Râșcani City Hall, started the realization of the project this spring, dedicated to the fallen heroes of the First World War.
The monument, with a height of eight meters, will have the shape of an obelisk, and a cross will be placed at the top. On its sides will be written the names of the soldiers, but also of the priests deported to Siberia.
Full details on how to support the project are available here.
