The works of the Anglican-Orthodox Theological Dialogue Commission, at the end: The catechesis of the faithful was discussedtranslated

The International Commission for Anglican-Orthodox Dialogue met September 19-24 in Alexandria, Egypt. According to a press release, the commission analyzed how the two traditions understand Christian formation and, in particular, how the Church forms the faithful.

The works were hosted by the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, being coordinated by Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium, and Michael Lewis, Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Lichfield.

On behalf of the Romanian Patriarchate, His Holiness Father Nifon, Archbishop of Târgoviște, Honorary Metropolitan and Patriarchal Exarch participated.

Catechism of the faithful The discussions were based on two reports: "Daily life and spiritual practices" from an Orthodox perspective, and "Principles and practices of Anglican spirituality".

During the meeting, an overview of the Commission's history and evolution, introductory texts for each of the seven Joint Declarations published by the Commission from 1973 to the present, and other important archival materials were prepared for publication.
