Residents of the Dobrovăț commune, located approximately 30 kilometers from Iasi, are mobilizing to purchase the first external automatic defibrillator, through a campaign on the Fiideajutor.ro platform.
On the 1st and 2nd of August, 20 residents of the Iași commune participated in a first aid course organized with the support of the Romanian Red Cross - Iași Branch. Participants learned to recognize a cardiac arrest, correctly alert the emergency services and intervene until the arrival of the ambulance, practicing resuscitation maneuvers and the use of an automated external defibrillator.
According to the organizers, for the participants the course was the answer to the question: "What do you do when someone collapses next to you and help is still on the way?".
