On July 28, the 1038th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus' was celebrated in the Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka diocese. On this day, the Patronal Feast of the lower church took place in the Kamchatka Naval Cathedral of St. Panteleimon Monastery. The Divine Liturgy was led by Archbishop Theodore of Peter and Paul and Kamchatka. His Eminence was co-served by the brethren of the monastery in holy orders. At the end of the Liturgy, Vladyka performed a prayer service in honor of the Baptism of Rus' and addressed those gathered with a sermon.
