The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece Welcomes Agreement on Return of Sacred Objectstranslated

The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece saluted, in a communiqué published on October 1, 2026, the agreement on the return to Greece of 48 sacred objects stolen by the Bulgarians during World War I. These objects come from the Monastery of the Mother of God Eikosifoinissa, the Monastery of Saint John the Baptist of Serres, and the Holy Metropolis of Serres and Nigrita.
