At the Cernica Monastery, a memorial service for the archim took place on Wednesday. Andrei Scrima and the members of the "Rugul Aprins" Movement, on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the passage to the Lord of Father Archimandrite.
The service was officiated by Father Archimandrite Vasile Pârjol, abbot of the Cernica Monastery, at the "St. Nicholas" Church within the monastic settlement, as part of the Time of the Burning Candle Symposium.
After the memorial service, the program continued with a series of lectures dedicated to the life, activity and spiritual legacy of Father Andrei Scrima, during which his contribution to spiritual life and his role in the tradition of the Burning Bush were evoked.
At the end of the day, the participants went to the grave of Archimandrite Andrei Scrima, where a memorial prayer was said. As a sign of honor and gratitude, those present lit candles at the grave.
The symposium brought together people of culture, theologians and researchers interested in the spirituality of the "Rugul Aprins" movement and the archim personality. Andrei Scrima, contributing to the preservation and deepening of his spiritual heritage.
