A shelter dedicated to victims of domestic violence was built in Aradtranslated

The Cetatea Voluntarilor Association from Arad has completed the construction of a shelter for victims of domestic violence.
The center has accommodation rooms, a playroom, a specially designed space for babies, bathrooms and laundry, pantry and technical room and a fully equipped and equipped kitchen.
According to the organization, the location of the shelter is and will remain secret. The inauguration will take place in a restricted setting, without public access and without communicating the address, to protect the women and children who will benefit from this space.
The construction and development works lasted a year, taking place with the support of DGASPC Arad, state institutions and some companies.
According to the association, until mid-October 2026, in the first nine months of the year, the police intervened in almost 117,000 domestic violence situations.
Founded in 2014, the NGO Cetatea Voluntarilor came to life from the desire of some Arada residents to help their community in as many ways as possible.
