Prikhody.ru 10/12/2026. The volleyball tournament for the Cup of St. Sergius of Radonezh, in which six teams from educational institutions of the municipality took part, was held for the seventh time in the gymnasium No. 2 of Chernyakhovsk (Kaliningrad region).

The purpose of the annual tournament, organized by the Chernyakhov diocese and the municipality, is to attract young people to regular physical education and sports, to introduce them to the ideals and values ​​of the Olympic movement within the framework of organizing cooperation and interaction of educational organizations with the Church.

The athletes were greeted by Bishop Nicholas of Chernyakhov and Slavsk. The competitions were held in an atmosphere of goodwill and respect for each other, the press service of the diocese reports. All teams received certificates for participation and refreshments. The winners - the team of Lyceum No. 7 of Chernyakhovsk - were awarded the Challenge Cup of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
