Krasnoyarsk priest took part in a hospital holiday for expectant motherstranslated

On October 6, at the Krasnoyarsk interdistrict clinic No. 5, a festive meeting was held for expectant mothers and their loved ones, timed to coincide with Pregnant Women’s Day. About 30 women, together with their future fathers, were able to spend this day in an atmosphere of care, support and pleasant communication.

During the meeting, specialists from the clinic and representatives of SOGAZ-Med answered questions from participants about preparation for childbirth, breastfeeding, the emotional state of the expectant mother, as well as social benefits and family support measures. The practical part of the event included a lesson in physical therapy, an analysis of the principles of proper attachment of the baby and preparation for childbirth.

The special guest of the meeting was the dean of the hospital churches in Krasnoyarsk, the rector of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Dmitry of Thessalonica, Priest Vitaly Walter. He spoke about the value of family and motherhood, and also presented the participants with icons and prayer books.

Pregnant Women's Day in Russia is celebrated twice a year - on April 7 and October 7. Events dedicated to supporting expectant mothers are held within the framework of the national project “Family” and the federal project “Protection of Motherhood and Childhood”.
