Conference “Science and Religion” at the F. Skorina State Universitytranslated

On November 2, 2026, a scientific and educational conference “Science and Religion” was held within the walls of the Gomel State University named after Francis Skaryna. The conference was held within the framework of the XII Regional Intercession educational readings “Christian teaching about man and the challenges of modern technologies.”

The conference was opened by His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin and the rector of the university Sergey Anatolyevich Khakhomov.

Sergei Anatolyevich addressed the audience with a welcoming speech and thanked the audience for their interest in problems at the intersection of science and religion.

Archbishop Stefan welcomed those present, wished a successful conference and emphasized that over time, science increasingly confirms that our world was created by God, and man was created in the image and likeness of God. The Lord noted that people only discover those laws that were created by the Creator at the beginning of existence.
