Clergy of the Simbirsk diocese took part in a conference of military clergytranslated

From September 12 to 13, the First All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference of the military clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church, caring for the personnel of the Russian Guard and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, took place in Nizhny Novgorod.

On September 12, in the Cathedral of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, a Divine Liturgy was held with the participation of military clergy, employees of the Russian Guard, veterans of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, laypeople and honored guests.

The service was performed by Metropolitan George of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas. Concelebrating with him was the Chairman of the Synodal Department for Interaction with the Supreme Council and the PO, Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, as well as Bishop Ilya of Balakhna.

At the end, on the territory of the headquarters of the Order of Zhukov of the Volga District of the National Guard troops, Metropolitan Georgy, military clergy, representatives of regional authorities and honored guests laid flowers at the memorial in memory of the employees of the Russian Guard who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Then, at the garrison club at the district headquarters, a forum was held dedicated to the issues of spiritual nourishment for the troops of the Russian National Guard.
