In September and October 2026, the staff priest of the Ascension Church in Rostov-on-Don, Priest Leonty Dmitriev, held a series of meetings with students in grades 4–10 of general education institutions - school No. 4 and school No. 53 named after B. N. Slyusar.
On September 1, at school No. 53, within the framework of the subjects “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” (ORKSE) and “Fundamentals of the Spiritual and Moral Culture of the Peoples of Russia” (ODNKNR), open lessons were held for students in grades 4–5 on the topics “How to take care of the soul” and “Spiritual values of the Don region.” The priest told the children about the creation of the world and man, the concept of the soul, as well as the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Don region.
On September 3, Priest Leonty took part in a peace lesson at school No. 53, dedicated to the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the older generation: Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Kirov District, combat veteran, holder of the Order of Courage, lieutenant colonel in the reserve V.
