On September 3, in the “65 Years of Victory” park near the monument to the Unknown Soldier in the Novoilinsky district of Novokuznetsk, a patriotic action “Remember” was held. The event was attended by the rector of the Church of St. Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg, Archpriest Nikolai Boretsky. This day marks the Day of Victory over militaristic Japan and the end of World War II - the largest tragedy of the 20th century. September 2, 1945 […]

Father Nikolai Borecki was there, nice. I remembered my grandfather who fought in the Far East at that very time, in the year 45. It is good that such actions are organized next to the monument, so that it is not forgotten.

Father Nikolai Boretsky is great for coming. In our family, my grandfather on my mother’s side also fought in the Far East in 1945 and returned with a wounded arm. It’s good that the action was held right next to the monument, otherwise everything is quickly forgotten.

Father Nikolay Boretsky also appeared there, well done. My paternal grandfather was also in the Far East in 1945, he told how they waited for the surrender in the taiga. It's good that they do such things at the monument, otherwise it really gets forgotten quickly.

Fr. Nikolai seems like a solid bloke for turning up at the monument like that. My grandad was in the navy and always said the end in the Far East felt like the real finish to the whole war. Good they held it right by the Unknown Soldier so the younger lads don’t forget.

Yeah, Fr. Nikolai turning up there makes sense – he’s always been one for remembering the ordinary lads who finished the job. My own grandpa was in the Canadian navy in the Pacific too and said the same thing about September ’45 really closing the book. Good spot by the Unknown Soldier, keeps it real for the kids.

Father Nikoloz Boretsky did well to come to this rally. My grandfather was also in the war, although on the European front, but September 45 brought him great relief. It's good that they do something like this with Pametnik so that young people don't forget.

Mariam, the stories of grandfathers remain the best lessons. My father was also in the war, albeit on the Soviet-Japanese front, and every September 2 he remembered how the war finally ended. It is good that such promotions are still held so that children do not lose this thread.

Mariam, the story of my grandfather is the most vivid lesson. My father was also in the war, although he was also serving on the European front, and he was waiting for a letter home in September that everything was over. It is good that Father Nicholas personally came and reminded the young people.
