A clergyman of the Novokuznetsk diocese visited the Integrated Center for Social Services for the Populationtranslated

On August 4, 2026, the priest of the Church of the Holy Martyrs Faith, Nadezhda, Lyubov and Sophia in the city of Novokuznetsk, Priest Vyacheslav Tyunin, held a missionary conversation at the Integrated Center for Social Services for the Population of the Zavodsky District of Novokuznetsk on the topic: “Prayer, types of prayer and its role in the spiritual life of a person.”
Father explained that prayer is an appeal to God, the ascension of the mind and heart, the most important weapon against spiritual enemies. Without prayer, Christian life is meaningless; it brings peace and helps in the knowledge of God's commandments. Father Vyacheslav emphasized that real prayer requires sincerity, effort and rejection of laziness and passions. He noted that prayers are of petition, repentance, praise and gratitude, and explained why each of them is important for spiritual life. As an example of living communication with God, the priest read some prayers from the prayer book of the holy righteous John of Kronstadt.
The event took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and spiritual unity, which indicates the deep interest of the audience in the issues discussed.
