On October 15, 2026, as part of an agreement on interaction between the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Rostov Region and the Don Metropolis, the cleric of the Church of the Righteous Paul in the Taganrog village of Matveev Kurgan, Priest Alexander Meshalov, held a meeting with the personnel of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Matveevo-Kurgan region.

During the spiritual and educational conversation, the priest spoke about the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. He revealed the image of the Intercession as a symbol of care and participation: when someone is ready to protect another from trouble, to listen, to lend a shoulder.

At the end of the conversation, Nikolai Gogol, head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs department for the Matveevo-Kurgan region, thanked Priest Alexander for the meaningful conversation on spiritual and moral topics.

The meeting took place within the framework of long-term cooperation between the diocese and law enforcement agencies, aimed at the spiritual and moral education of personnel.
