A diocesan clergyman held a spiritual conversation at Vornyanskaya Secondary Schooltranslated

On October 5, the rector of the Church of St. John of Shanghai in the agricultural town of Vornyany, Priest Leonid Chernyaev, held lecture classes for students in grades 8-11 of the local high school. The students were given the topic “Bad habits and words are not our friends.”

The priest reminded young people about the dangers of foul language and the negative impact of alcohol and other types of addictions on their physical and mental well-being. He also spoke about how the Orthodox Church helps those suffering from addictions to heal.

Concluding the meeting, Father Leonid thanked the students and teachers for their active participation, for interesting questions and wished everyone success in their studies and work.
