“How to overcome temptations?”: a meeting was held in Ulyanovsk in the format of a “Bible Breakfast”translated

On September 18, the third meeting in the “Bible Breakfast” format was held at the vocal workshop “Musical Coworking” within the framework of the Patriarchal Bible study program. Together with the rector of the church in the name of the holy prophet of God Elijah at the 104th Guards Airborne Division, priest Pavel Knyazkin, and the organizer of the “Bible breakfasts” in Dimitrovgrad, Melekes diocese, Kirill Vikhlyaev, the meeting participants discussed the topic “Temptations and how to deal with them.”

The priest and the meeting participants discussed together passages from the Holy Scriptures on the stated topic. The result of a lively and interesting discussion was the conclusion that, as the holy Apostle James wrote, trials must be accepted with great joy. To confirm this, the guys remembered many encouraging examples from the Bible - the stories of the Old Testament patriarch Abraham, the righteous Job the Long-Suffering and the holy Apostle Peter.

“We are scared, and sometimes we don’t have enough strength just because we have little faith, we don’t have the courage to follow God!” - noted Father Pavel.

All participants received stickers with quotes from the Holy Scriptures as a gift.
