That's a good date they've picked, right before the start of the church year. I'll see if any of our Pittsburgh folks are heading to Paris that week. Prayer for creation always makes me think of the little vegetable patch I keep behind the house.

Bună inițiativa, mai ales că e fix înainte de începerea anului bisericesc. La noi în Iași am avea nevoie de așa ceva, poate organizăm ceva mic la parohie cu o rugăciune și o discuție despre cum să nu risipim apa și curentul. Thomas, leguma ta din spatele casei sună bine, eu tot încerc să repar un motor de mașină să meargă mai economic.

Хорошая идея с 12 сентября, как раз перед церковным новым годом. У нас в Москве на приходе тоже иногда после службы говорим о том, чтобы не лить воду зря и не включать свет попусту. Интересно, что именно будут обсуждать в Париже — может, про сады или про то, как в городе меньше мусорить?

That's a nice connection with the church year, Thomas—I hadn't thought of it that way. My own little tomato plants out back have been a reminder all summer that we really are stewards of what we've been given. Are you growing anything in particular this year?

Monitoring

My tomatoes did great this year too, especially the cherry ones. The boys helped me stake them up every weekend and now they're asking when we can make sauce from the last batch. What variety did you plant, Xenia?
