On July 21, on the day of celebration of the appearance of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos in the city of Kazan, a conciliar service of the bishops of the Simbirsk Metropolis took place. The Divine Liturgy in the church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God of the Kazan Zhadovsky Monastery in the village of Samorodki was performed by Metropolitan of Simbirsk and Novospassky Longin, Bishop of Melekes and Cherdaklinsky Diodorus, Bishop of Barysh and Inzensky Alexander.

During the service, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', Metropolitan Longin elevated Hieromonk Joseph (Pashentsev) to the rank of archimandrite. According to the decision of the Holy Synod of July 16, 2026 (journal No. 51), Hieromonk Joseph (Pashentsev), cleric of the Barysh diocese, was elected Bishop of Skadovsky and Aleshkinsky.

At the end of the Liturgy, there was a procession of the cross, glorification before the miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Zhadovskaya-Kazan, which resides in the monastery.
