In Lublin, in 1914, right after the announcement of mobilization, they collected money for such families at the church of St. Nicholas. I wonder how much they finally collected from this ordeal and whether Lébedev managed it all himself or if someone from the parish helped him.

In our parish we still have that old record book from 1914 with the lists of soldiers’ families who got help from the collection after the moleben. Joanna, did they do something similar at St. Nicholas in Lublin right after the mobilization announcement? I wonder if Lebedev really ran the whole thing alone or if the priest stepped in like ours did.
