My grandfather was in the war in the Far East, he told how entire Japanese garrisons surrendered after only a few days. It's really strange to me that it only ended on September 2 on "Missoura", and not earlier. Thank God that peace has finally come.

My grandfather also fought in the Far East and told how the Japanese surrendered in whole units after the first blows. Interestingly, everything officially ended only on September 2 on the Missouri, although the main battles took place much earlier. Thank you for reminding us of this date; for us this is an important part of the common Victory.
