“Artificial intelligence and the soul: is there a conflict?” - an honest conversation with high school students in Istratranslated

On November 2, at school No. 2 in Istra, a meeting of 10th grade students took place with Priest Pavel Malkin, rector of the Myronositsky Church in Istra.
The meeting was held as part of the Christmas readings and was dedicated to the topic “Christian teaching about man and the challenges of modern technologies.” The conversation centered on a difficult and very relevant topic for young people: “Artificial intelligence and the soul: is there a conflict?”
During the conversation, Father Pavel and the guys thought about what makes a person unique, what is the value of the human soul and freedom of choice - and how modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, fit into our lives. The students not only listened, but actively participated in the dialogue: they asked questions, shared their thoughts and doubts.
Such meetings help to look at familiar things from a new angle, correlate the rapid development of technology with eternal moral guidelines, and think about how to preserve humanity in the digital world.
