Someone's strong faith always brings relief in suffering, emphasizes PS Timotei Prahoveanultranslated

November 8, 2026 · 1 min read

"Someone's strong faith always brings relief in suffering, in illness, in trials for many years," Vicar Bishop Timotei Prahoveanul of the Archdiocese of Bucharest emphasized on Sunday.

His Eminence consecrated the church of the "Descent of the Holy Spirit" Parish - Militari in the Capital and officiated the Holy Liturgy.

The hierarch explained that Jairus had an unusual attitude, because although he had a position in society, being the elder of the synagogue, and there was hostility from some religious leaders towards the Savior, he chose to ask Him for help for his daughter.

"However, we know that from the position he had, his status, which did not allow him any approach and any attitude, nevertheless brought him closer to the Savior and asked him to heal his sick daughter," said the vicar bishop.

"The savior this time unexpectedly met with an attitude of kindness and even humility on the part of Jairus. The Fathers of the Church tell us that he was truly brilliant as his name indicates."

Jairus, example of parental love The Most Reverend Father Timotei Prahoveanul showed that Iair becomes an example of parental love for children and care for their growth.
