An intellectual quiz about the Intercession of the Virgin Mary brought together children and parents of the Klintsov diocesetranslated

Prikhody.ru 10/19/2026. At the initiative of the administration of the Trubchevsky District House of Culture (Bryansk Region), an interactive program “Pokrovsky Chin” was organized for Sunday school pupils, their parents and teachers, dedicated to the celebration of the Intercession of the Mother of God in Russia.

Each stage of the interactive game was full of discoveries: the children deciphered words with Old Slavonic initial letters, learned to see and found differences in the Suzdal and Novgorod versions of the icon of the Intercession of the Mother of God, and also demonstrated knowledge of Russian history. A blitz survey was carried out with particular enthusiasm, during which the meeting participants actively answered questions about church customs.

Throughout the game, everyone received a paper star for each correct answer, the diocese website reports. At the end of the quiz, with these bright and shining “awards”, the children, together with their parents and teacher, like magicians, decorated the large Omophorion spread over the drawing of the Virgin Mary.

According to the organizers, the spiritual and educational meeting dedicated to the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary gave a lot of positive emotions, a good mood, and also united children, parents and teachers.
