In the north of Greece, the relics of a martyr were discovered: Saint Christitranslated

The relics of an 18th-century neomartyr were recently discovered in a village in the Pella region, in northern Greece, reports Ortodoxia News Agency.

Its name - Hrisi (Neo-Greek "Golden") - coincides with that of the village where the relics were discovered next to a church in the ruins of the old city.

The clean and pleasant-smelling remains were certified by specialized laboratories in Germany as belonging to a young woman of about 17 who died around 1795.

The saint's life will soon be presented in a documentary that will be broadcast by Pemptousia TV, the television station founded by Vatoped Monastery.
