I am glad that they have finally begun to put this monastery in order after all the years of neglect. It’s good that with the help of the Israeli authorities they were able to remove the remains of the iconostasis, the cross from the dome and the door, and then also perform the first small blessing of water. I wonder what else they found in the monks’ cells; Father John will tell you later?

I'm glad they finally started cleaning the hermitage. Fortunately, with the help of the Israeli authorities, they removed the cross from the tower, the remains of the iconostasis and the door, before everything fell apart for good. I wonder what else they found in the monks' cells, as the father wrote.

It's good to see the place finally getting some care after so many years. Pulling out the fallen cross from the dome and what was left of the iconostasis must have felt like uncovering old bones. I wonder what else they found in those monk cells.
