Priest Vasily Losev performed the sacrament of wedding simultaneously for seven couples - participants of the SVO and their wivestranslated

On Sunday afternoon, October 4, 2026, in the St. Nicholas Cathedral in the city of Krasnogorsk, our defenders, members of the Association of Veterans of the Northern Military District of the Moscow Region, married their wives.

The sacrament of weddings was performed simultaneously for seven couples in the co-service of the clergy by the rector of the cathedral, Priest Vasily Losev, head of the Secretariat of the World Russian People's Council.

Vice-Governor of the Moscow Region Maria Nagornaya, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergei Kolunov, Head of the Moscow region branch of the State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland" Olga Ermakova and Executive Director of the Association of Veterans of the Northern Military District of the Moscow Region Natalya Nesterova came to congratulate the families.

The couple decided to get married because faith in the conditions of the Northern Military District took on special significance for them, and consolidation of the marriage union before God confirms faith, strengthens the family, and helps to survive separation.

While I was in the Northern Military District zone, she waited, collected humanitarian aid, weaved networks, supported me and our guys. Over the years together we have gone through a lot, and today, after the wedding, I especially understand how important it is to move through life...
