Priest Sergius Miguel recalled the heavenly mission of parents at the holiday “Warmth and Light of Parental Love”translated

One of the brightest events of the holiday week took place in the assembly hall of Ashmyany Secondary School No. 2 - the concert “The Warmth and Light of Parental Love.” It was literally filled with words of gratitude to moms and dads, grandparents.

The concert opened with a welcoming speech from the presenters, who recalled the importance of family in everyone’s life. The program was rich and touching: musical numbers were performed, and students shared their talents and warmth.

Particular attention was paid to the spiritual aspect of parental love. Priest Sergius Miguel, who was present at the celebration, addressed those gathered with a heartfelt word. The priest emphasized that parents are “earthly angels” for children, who protect them from adversity throughout their lives, regardless of age.

“For parents, a child always remains their child, who needs to be cared for and loved,” noted Father Sergius. He also recalled the important spiritual mission of parents: not only to provide earthly care, but also to “bring children to God and pray for them.”

Addressing the children, the priest wished: “May parental love warm us every day, supporting and inspiring us to do good deeds.”
