On July 20, 2026, the cleric of the Holy Nativity of the Mother of God Convent in Brest, Priest Pavel Kravchuk, together with the children's choir, served a prayer service for the beginning of the work in the Summer Church of the monastery. This marked the beginning of the second Summer meetings of the monastery Sunday School students this year, only for the middle and senior groups. They will be held from July 20 to 26 at the Nikolsky Compound in the village of Vezhnoye. After the prayer service, the children said goodbye to their parents and loaded onto the bus with their things. Nature awaits them ahead - the beauty of Belovezhskaya Pushcha - silence, prayer and obedience.

Nice to see Fr. Pavel with the kids’ choir kicking things off. My youngest went on one of those summer trips last year and still talks about the quiet mornings in the woods near Belovezhskaya Pushcha. Praying their week is full of good work and good memories.

It is good that Father Pavel and the choir celebrated the prayer in the Summer Church, it sets the tone correctly. My boyfriend also went to such meetings last year, and he still remembers how they worked in the garden early in the morning in the silence of the Bialowieza Forest. My son attended those summer meetings last year, right in Vežno. There are also stories of how in the morning they sang with Father Pavlo in the Summer Church, and then dug potatoes in the silence of the smoke. May they have enough of both prayer and work this time.
