Priest Pavel Frantischik took part in a dialogue platform dedicated to the memory of the tragedy in Dorytranslated

On September 27, 2026, at the State Institution “Dorskaya Secondary School” of the Volozhin district, a dialogue platform “Memory of Man” was held, dedicated to the recollection of the events of the Second World War.

The event was attended by the administration of the agricultural town of Dora, teachers and students of the school, a representative of the clergy of the Molodechno diocese - the rector of the parish of the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Priest Pavel Francischik.

The daughter of Nikolai Kondratiev, the author of the sculptural composition “Widows. The dead are awaited forever,” installed at the site of the burning of an Orthodox church by the Nazis.

In the village of Dory, on July 23, 1943, the occupiers burned 106 civilians in the church (according to the database “Belarusian villages burned during the Great Patriotic War”). There is also information about 146 killed residents. In 1961, a monument was erected on the foundation of the burned church - a sculpture of a grieving woman, and in 1991 the memorial complex “Widows. The dead are awaited forever.” Sculptor - N.I.
