It is interesting that the icons from Korça survived all this state atheism and are now shown in France. I’ve never been to Albania, but our icons have also seen a lot. A good exhibition, probably worth seeing if anyone is in Chambery.

Never knew those Korça icons survived the state atheism era – pretty amazing they made it through. The 14th to 20th century range sounds solid; might try to catch the Chambéry show if I’m ever hiking through the Alps next year. Thanks for posting, Dar'ya.

Interestingly, I did not know that so many icons survived from Korça after that period of state atheism. I think it's cool that I'm making it to Chambéry, especially since the span is until 2026 – if I ever make it through France for a game or something, maybe I'll stop by to see what the 14th century ones look like. Thanks for the post.
