Temple at Zimbru Hermitage in Galati county: IPS Casian highlighted the legacy of St. Raphael from Old Agapiatranslated

The Zimbru Hermitage in Galati County celebrated on Tuesday its patron dedicated to St. Raphael de la Agapia Veche, originally from Bursucani, a town in Galati. On this occasion, Archbishop Cassian of the Lower Danube highlighted the spiritual legacy of the saint.

His Eminence recalled the needy who sanctified the places with their lives: "The hermits have always been angels who made the wilderness the garden of heaven."

The archbishop of Lower Danube showed that the greatest joy of this year's celebration was the presence of children at the patron saint of the monastic settlement, who brought alive the work of the saint in the middle of the community.

"The miracle consists in the fact that the priests, descendants of the piety of Saint Raphael in these places, brought their children who ennobled the Divine Liturgy in honor of Saint Raphael."

"Saint Raphael found himself in the voices of a child, being present at the Liturgy and at the Holy Chalice, in a holiday atmosphere, in the porch of the church and at the door of heaven," said His Eminence.

The Zimbru Hermitage was re-established in 2008 on the site of the old monastic hearth founded by the disciples of Saint Reverend Raphael, and the church of the new settlement...
