Temple at Periprava: Bishop Visarion commemorated the confessors who suffered in the former labor camptranslated

On Tuesday, Bishop Visarion of Tulcea commemorated the confessors who suffered in the former Periprava labor camp, on the occasion of the patron saint of the hermitage "Council of the Saints 12 Apostles".
The monastic settlement, metoc of the Tulce Cocoș Monastery, is built near the former forced labor colony, a place where, during the years of the communist regime, numerous political prisoners, including clerics and intellectuals, endured suffering and met their end.
On the occasion of the celebration, His Holiness Father Visarion officiated the Holy Liturgy and urged gratitude towards those who defended the faith and values of the Romanian nation in times of persecution.
"We remembered with reverence those who, decades ago, in these places suffered thousands and thousands of political prisoners for the right faith, but at the same time for the defense of the spiritual values of our Romanian nation".
