"God has given man not only physical eyes, with which he receives the light of the sun, but also inner eyes, with which he can receive the unsettling light of the Gospel", emphasized the Most Reverend Father Teofil Trotușanul, Vicar Bishop of the Roman and Bacău Archdiocese, on the 7th Sunday after Pentecost, when he officiated the Holy Liturgy at the Ciolpani monastery in Bacău.

"That's why today's Gospel doesn't just talk about regaining physical sight, but also about the opening of spiritual sight, which changes the whole life of man."

Starting from Sunday's Gospel, which relates the healing of the two blind and a mute, the Most Reverend Father Theophilus also spoke about the cry of the two sick.

"The cry of the two blind men: Have mercy on us, Son of David! is a message that transcends time and invites us, today, to come before the Lord with the same humility, but above all with the same faith. The Savior's words: Let it be done according to your faith! show us that God always responds to living faith and persistent prayer," said the hierarch.

God bless you for the article. I especially liked how Bishop Theophilus said about “Faka-se after credinței voastre” - this is right to the point, how many times in my life have I noticed that when you pray for real, and not just with your tongue, everything changes. Just this week we were singing in the choir about healing the blind, and now I heard it differently.
