Shrine at the Mioveni Cathedral: IPS Calinic evoked the sacrifice that crowned Saints Peter and Paultranslated

His Eminence Father Calinic, Archbishop of Argeș and Muscel, on Monday evoked the sacrifice that crowned the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, during the Holy Liturgy celebrated on the occasion of the dedication of the Mioveni Cathedral.
His Eminence highlighted the spiritual path of the two great Apostles, showing that both Saint Peter and Saint Paul experienced the fall before becoming great confessors of Christ.
Referring to the Holy Apostle Paul, the Archbishop of Argeș and Muscel recalled that before his conversion on the road to Damascus he was a persecutor: "He was a persecutor of Christians. He witnessed how they were killed. Therefore, his death by beheading in Rome was because he himself witnessed the cutting off of people's heads."
The Most Reverend Father Calinic also recalled the rejection of the Holy Apostle Peter and the repentance through which he confessed his love for the Savior to the end.
"The apostle Peter denied Jesus three times. The one who had confessed his love for Jesus denied him because he was afraid of a woman."
