The Church of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg with a unique mosaic about her life will be completed in Moscow by 2028translated

A church complex in honor of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg with a unique mosaic about her life is planned to be completed in the Danilovsky district of Moscow by 2028, said Russian State Duma deputy, Patriarchal Advisor Vladimir Resin.
“We have scheduled the commissioning of the church for 2028,” said Vladimir Resin, as quoted by his press service.
The church project was created by Denis Rimsha, a partner in the Program for the Construction of Orthodox Churches in Moscow (“Program 200”). Archpriest Andrei Yurevich also took part in the work.
The complex will be designed in the style of modern Russian Art Nouveau - church architecture of the 21st century.
The facades of the church will be faced with natural stone, the cornices of the drum and the main volume will be decorated with colored ceramic tiles. The main entrance will be decorated with a traditional zakomara.
It is noted that a mosaic with scenes from the life of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg will be created on the walls of the internal space of the entrance group.
The altar and soleya will be made in the form of a rotunda, which will refer to the churches of the 18th century.
At the moment, on the territory of the future capital church there is a temporary one, which is located in a large hangar.
The parish of the church leads an active life: on Sundays and holidays…
