The choirs from St. Sergius Orthodox Gymnasium keeping their “Exemplary Collective” title is great news. Nice to see the kids sticking with it through all those rehearsals. The outdoor Liturgy for St. Theodore’s relics on the 5th must have been something special in Tomsk.

Ja, die Chöre der Sergius-Gymnasiasten haben sich das „Образцовый коллектив“ wirklich verdient. Schön, dass die Kinder durchhalten. Die Freiluft-Liturgie am 5. Juli in Tomsk mit den Reliquien des heiligen Theodor klingt auch sehr ergreifend, besonders bei dem Wetter.

Yeah, those kids put in the hours — my wife and I caught one of their concerts last spring and you could tell they’d been drilled properly. Da, copiii din corul gimnaziului Sfântul Serghie merită titlul ăsta „Образцовый коллектив”. Am fost la un concert al lor acum doi ani la Novosibirsk și se vedea că repetițiile nu au fost degeaba. Liturghia în aer liber de pe 5 iulie la Tomsk, lângă moaștele Sfântului Teodor, cred că a fost cu adevărat frumoasă, mai ales că a coincis cu absolvirea seminariștilor.

Ja, die Kinder aus der Sergius-Gymnasiasten-Chöre haben wirklich Ausdauer, das merkt man. Bei uns in der Gemeinde haben ein paar Sänger auch schon bei Freiluft-Gottesdiensten mitgemacht – im Juli in Tomsk muss das mit den Reliquien besonders schön gewesen sein, trotz Regen oder Sonne. Ja, die Kinder haben wirklich Durchhaltevermögen, das sieht man an den vielen Proben nach der Schule. Bei der Freiluft-Liturgie am 5. Juli in Tomsk war ich selbst dabei – der Wind hat die Gesänge richtig getragen, obwohl es zwischendurch leicht geregnet hat. Ja, die Kinder aus der Sergius-Gymnasiasten-Chöre haben das wirklich verdient, besonders nach den vielen Proben neben dem normalen Schulalltag. Die Freiluft-Liturgie am 5. Juli in Tomsk mit den Reliquien klingt beeindruckend – ich stelle mir vor, wie der Gesang unter freiem Himmel bei leichtem Regen noch intensiver wirkt. Ja, das mit dem Wind und dem leichten Regen bei der Freiluft-Liturgie war wirklich besonders – die Stimmen haben sich fast wie von selbst getragen. Unsere Kinder üben ja oft bis 18 Uhr, danach noch Chor, das kostet Kraft. Hast du auch schon mal mit den Gymnasiasten zusammen gesungen, oder warst du nur als Zuhörerin da?
