His Grace Bishop Andrei was present at the Patronal Feast of St. Elijah Romanian Orthodox Parish in Schomberg, Ontario

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, on Sunday, July 19, 2026, the Seventh Sunday after Pentecost and the Sunday of the Holy Fathers of the Fourth Ecumenical Council, His Grace Bishop Andrei of Cleveland made a pastoral visit to St. Elijah the Prophet Romanian Orthodox Parish in Schomberg, Ontario, in the Greater Toronto Area, where he officiated the Holy and Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the parish’s patronal feast.
Assisting His Grace at the Divine Liturgy were the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Marius Bujor, Rev. Fr. John Richardson, attached cleric and Orthodox Chaplain with the Canadian Armed Forces at CFB Borden, Ontario, and Rev. Hdn. Benedict Oancea.
Following the reading of the Holy Gospel, which recounts the healing of the two blind men and the mute man in Capernaum (Matthew 9:27–35), His Grace delivered a homily reflecting on Christ’s compassion and mercy, encouraging the faithful to approach the Lord with trust, perseverance, and heartfelt prayer.
