TORONTO, ON — On Saturday, September 19, 2026, His Grace Bishop Andrei of Cleveland participated in the enthronement of His Eminence Archbishop Apostolos of Canada, representing the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America.
The ceremony took place at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Toronto and gathered hierarchs, clergy, dignitaries, and faithful from Canada and abroad.
His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain presided over the enthronement as the representative of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
His Eminence Archbishop Apostolos, formerly Metropolitan of New Jersey, was unanimously elected Archbishop of Canada by the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate on July 22, 2026.
