His Grace Bishop Andrei Celebrates the Patronal Feast of St. Elijah Romanian Orthodox Parish in Montreal, Canada

MONTREAL, QC – July 25, 2026 – With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, His Grace Bishop Andrei of Cleveland made a pastoral visit on Saturday, July 25, 2026, to St. Elijah Romanian Orthodox Parish in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on the occasion of the parish’s patronal feast.
Although the feast of the Holy Prophet Elijah is observed on July 20, the parish celebrated its patronal feast during the weekend, allowing a greater number of the faithful to participate in this joyous occasion.
His Grace officiated the Holy and Divine Liturgy, assisted by the parish priest, V. Rev. Fr. Ioan Cotrigasanu, together with numerous clergy from the Montreal area.
The joy of the celebration was made even greater by the presence of a fragment of the holy relics of St. Olga of Alaska, which had been brought from the Diocesan Center of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America for the veneration of the faithful. Many approached the holy relics with reverence, asking for the intercessions of the newly glorified saint.
