His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel Celebrates the Patronal Feast of Holy Cross Parish in Hollywood, Florida

HOLLYWOOD, FL — On Sunday, September 13, 2026, the Sunday before the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel of Detroit and the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America visited Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Church in Hollywood, Florida, in the Miami area, where he officiated the Holy and Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the parish’s patronal feast.

Assisting His Eminence were V. Rev. Fr. Silvius Sfera, parish priest; V. Rev. Fr. Florin Stoleru, from St. Anne Romanian Orthodox Church in Jacksonville, Florida, and Dean of the South USA Deanery; Rev. Fr. Geani Nemes of Holy Nativity Romanian Orthodox Church in Chicago, Illinois; Rev. Fr. Nicolae Codiță, attached priest; and Rev. Hierodeacon Benedict Oancea.

The celebration brought together the faithful of the parish in prayer and thanksgiving as the community honored its heavenly patronage and the Life-giving Cross of the Lord.

At the conclusion of the Holy and Divine Liturgy, everyone was invited to the parish social hall for an agape meal prepared in honor of this special occasion.
