The Governor of the Rostov Region and the Head of the Don Metropolis visited the Cathedral Mosque of the city of Rostov-on-Dontranslated

On October 22, 2026, the Governor of the Rostov Region Yuriy Slyusar and the Head of the Don Metropolis, Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk Mercury, visited the Cathedral Mosque of the city of Rostov-on-Don.

At the Cathedral Mosque, the head of the region and Metropolitan Mercury were met by the chairman of the Centralized religious organization “Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Rostov Region”, imam-akhund Muhammad Bikmaev. The visit was also attended by Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region - Chief of Staff of the Government of the Rostov Region Alexander Skokov, Minister of Regional Policy and Mass Communications of the Rostov Region Alexander Nikitochkin.

The participants toured the mosque and discussed issues of completing its construction.

Following the visit, a press approach took place with the participation of the Governor of the Rostov Region Yuri Slyusar, Metropolitan Mercury and Imam-Akhund Muhammad Bikmaev. It was decided to create a Board of Trustees, which will assist in the completion of the construction of the mosque. The head of the Don Metropolis expressed his readiness to join it.
