Greenbelt Festival talk features how—and why—Christians are holding banks accountable

A session at the Greenbelt Festival in the UK covered “ Stop Funding the Climate Crisis: Christians Holding Banks Accountable.” A panel of speakers discussed how churches, including the Methodist Church, are turning to legal action to challenge those financing environmental harm.

The session was attended by over 400 people - participants explored how and why churches are engaging with their banks on this issue.

It seems strange to me that the Methodist Church is going to court and the OECD over the banks instead of praying and teaching believers to live more simply. In my village I see that real change starts from our home and garden, not from complaints. What do the simple believers themselves say there?
